“It’s okay.” I saw Annabelle walk back. Annabelle had a sad face. Mike dumped Annabelle. I could see it in her face and I could read Annabelle’s mind.
“Annabelle, what’s the matter?” I asked.
“I-It’s nothing.” I saw a tear run down. Annabelle quickly wiped it away. “It’s my allergies. I think there acting up.” Annabelle tried to laugh it off, but it came out as cries. Annabelle started to break down. I saw Eric look at Annabelle, with a worried expression. Eric was telling himself not to care, but clearly, he cared a lot! Eric took Annabelle in his arms making Annabelle push him away.
“Get away from me!” Annabelle’s moods have acted up. It was her angry faze. Eric had a hurt look on his face and walked away. Eric didn’t want this. I ran after Eric. “Eric, come back!”
“Why? Annabelle doesn’t care about me, you saw her! She pushed me, if I was a old shirt she found in her closet!”
“Eric, listen. Annabelle is upset. Mike dumped her.”
“I know. You aren’t the only special one!”
“What?”
“I can read minds too! Stop thinking that you are the only one.”
“You can too? Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Cuz, I didn’t want too. Your so proud of it.”
“No I’m not! I hate it! It’s like a curse!”
“Like being a vampire? I know that you hate it. I know you hated it that I bit you.”
“You bit me? I thought it was Alex!”
“Whatever. I’m going somewhere. To get away from North Carolina. I can’t stand being here.”
“You can’t!”
“Why can’t I? I don’t want to live here anymore.”
“Why?”
“To get away from you.” Eric walked off. I stood there. The words kept repeating in my mind. The words stung me. Eric was leaving and I had something to do with it. Eric was no where to be seen. I had no clue where he was going. Then I remembered Eric telling me that he always wanted to go to Paris, not by himself, but with Annabelle. I walked back to Annabelle, Sadie and Alex. Annabelle was still crying.
“Annabelle…”
“He doesn’t want me anymore! He said that I’m way too young! I’m way older! He just doesn’t know that!”
“Come on, Annabelle… hey. Where’s Eric?” Alex asked.
“Eric doesn’t want to be part of this group.”
“Why?” I looked back at Sadie Alex.
“He can’t stand being here.”
“Do you know where he went?” Sadie asked.
“He must have gone to Paris.” Alex said.
“I think so too.”
“It’s Annabelle’s fault.” Alex whispered. Alex never approved of Eric liking Annabelle. Eric was an original vampire. Eric was about million years old. Eric’s parents are still alive. Ales was turned in the year of 1561. Annabelle was turned in the year of 1641. And Sadie was turned in the year of 1717. I know that I said that Annabelle and I have been friends since I was 4. The thing about Annabelle it that she can change her identity. She can be an old women or a little kid. Eric is an original vampire that means that they have lots of special abilities. Annabelle was bitten by Eric and it makes Eric mad that Annabelle doesn’t care about him. Annabelle always pushes him around. Sometimes I think that Annabelle might like Eric. The thing about Annabelle is that it takes a lot of my energy to mind Annabelle’s emotions. Annabelle doesn’t want me to know. I met Sadie a week after I got bitten. I always thought that Sadie hated me but Sadie was jealous. Annabelle and Sadie use to be best friends but when I met Annabelle, everything fell apart for Annabelle and Sadie.
“Stop crying Annabelle!” Alex hated when Annabelle cried. The truth is that Alex doesn’t even like Annabelle.
Annabelle stopped crying. “Who cares about Eric!”
“Eric is your master, Annabelle!” Sadie yelled out loud.
“So, what do I give a care?” Annabelle was in her mad mood.
“It’s your fault that Eric left.” Alex pointed out.
“My fault? How? I pushed him, so.”
“So? You don’t even understand how Eric feels about you! You are so clueless!”
“Clueless? I’m not dumb!”
Alex laughed. “Eric likes you. I mean he loves you. When you pushed him away, it only made Eric mad. So he left, because of you.”
“Eric likes me? Eww… that’s disgusting.”
“You are very annoying, Anna.”
“Don’t call me Anna! It only reminds me of my dead sister!”
“Right. That I killed.” Alex said. I knew there was going to be a fight. Eric usually stops it, but he’s not here.
